70th Anniversary of RGS Presence in Cebu

anniversary last July 15 with a Mass at the Chapel in Banawa Hills. The
presider was Fr Heinz Kulüke, SVD, a long time friend and partner in mission.
Sr Leah Ann read in the introduction the beginnings of the community. Sisters,
apostolic and contemplative, mission partenrs and program beneficiaries were in

rest the ashes of our two dear sisters who said goodbye to us one after the other. Sr Mary Socorro Galvez, a contemplative sister passed on last July 8 and
Sr Mary Herminia Mendoza, an apostolic sister, last July 9. Fr Ross Kapunan,
OMI presided the Mass of the Resurrection before the inurnment.

Sunday fell on April 25. After some time of relative quiet, with the absence of
live Masses and gatherings in our Good Shepherd compound in Quezon City, the
two days of St Mary Euphrasia’s Feast and Good Shepherd Sunday brought life and
joy to the community, and even beyond, despite missing the presence of other
sisters, family and friends.
Virtual Inter Continental Assembly (ICA) for Asia-Pacific held September 14-18
Submitted by regina on Fri, 09/18/2020 - 14:23Good Shepherd Sisters and partners in mission in Asia Pacific are participating in a virtual Inter Continental Assembly (ICA) from September 14-18, 2020. The Province of Philippines-Japan belong to Group 4 of the eight ICAs organized by the congregation. Other provinces in Group 4 are Australia-Aoteroa New Zealand, Northeast Asia (South Korea, Taiwan, Hongkong and Macau), and Singapore-Malaysia.
