Sr. Teresa Danganan RGS, Sr. Emma Marzan, Ms. Allen Antonio and Augusto Pronce, driver of the Provincialate, left Quezon City bringing rice, bread, milk, canned goods, medicine and clothing for the victims of the devastating typhoon.

At the height of the typhoon Sr. Minela Alvarez, local leader of RGS Isabela, was in touch with Sr. Cecilia Torres RGS, province leader, who assured her of aid to the victims. Sr. Amelia David RGS, province treasurer, in coordination with the local communities, Sisters, staff and friends, spearheaded the efforts to gather and buy food items for Isabela.

St. Bridget School in Quezon City and St. Bridget College in Batangas City responded immediately by sending donation for the victims.

The Social Action Center of St. Scholastica College in Manila, through Sr. Mary John Mananzan, also donated six sacks of rice for this mission.

The Relief Mission Team arrived safely in Guibang, Gamu, Isabela after almost 12 hours of travel by van. Most of the houses in Guibang, where the Good Shepherd convent is located, were destroyed by the typhoon. Water and electric services have not yet resumed in the north.

The October 18 typhoon that hit the North claimed lives and caused damages to infrastructures and crops estimated at Ph4 Billion pesos.
