During the period of temporary vows, the Sister learns how to
live out in daily life the commitment made at her profession. She learns how to
seek a balance between contemplation and action, she learns how to live in
community and to integrate the vows into her specific situation. The document “Vita Consecrata” considers the first years of full involvement in the apostolate as a “critical stage, marked by the passage from a supervised life to a situation of full responsibility for one’s work. It is important the young consecrated persons be supported and accompanied by a brother or a sister who helps them to live the full freshness of their love and their enthusiasm for Christ.” (VC 70). . |
