| New Leadership |
| During the consultations with the Sisters of the Philippine Province, both active and contemplative, regarding the new Provincial Coordinator, the Sisters were asked whether the Provincial Coordinator will be elected or appointed. Each Sister sent her recommendations to Rome. Sr. Liliane Tauvette, the Superior General, with her General Council, studied the recommendations, and announced that the new leadership will be appointed. |

| In a letter dated June 29, 2002, Sr. Liliane named Sr. Carmelita Cruz, RGS, as the new Provincial Coordinator of the Good Shepherd Sisters in the Philippines. She succeeds Sr. Lydia Ebora, RGS who will carry on her responsibilities until November 30, 2002. |

| Unlike the past chapters, this 2002 Provincial Chapter/Assembly, the delegates will elect only the Provincial Councillors. From the list of Sisters nominated for RGS Provincial Councillors, the delegates trimmed the number to 10 names. The nominees were also given the chance to accept or refuse the nominations. |
